Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Bewley of Somerton will celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary with an open house on Sept. 25.

They were united in marriage Sept. 24, 1941, in the Somerton Methodist Church parsonage with the late Rev. C.G. Bloor officiating.

Mary Lu Bewley is the daughter of the late Dr. William Paul and Estelle (Stimmel) Johnson.

Charles Bewley is the son of the late Vernon and Ada (Frazier) Bewley.

They are the parents of four children: Charles Gordon of Barnesville (deceased), the Rev. Dennis Paul Bewley of Brunswick, Donna Jennette Mitchell (deceased) and Lu Anne Barbina of Bethesda. They have 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.

An open house hosted by their children and grandchildren will take place from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Somerton United Methodist Church fellowship hall. They request no gifts.
