Layburns Mark Golden
Donnie and Kathleen McAndrews Layburn of Follansbee celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday.
They were married on Dec. 29, 1966, while he was on leave from the U.S. Navy.
He retired from Weirton Steel in 2002 and has been employed at Lyles Auto for 29 years.
She worked at Wal-Mart in Weirton.
They are the parents of three daughters: Tracy Layburn of Follansbee, Kelly Villaloboz of New Lexington, Ohio, and Cindy Mason of Follansbee. They have eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
They celebrated by renewing their vows on Thursday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Follansbee, with the Rev. Thomas Gallagher presiding.
