Michael “Buck” and Linda Turkaly of Windsor Heights will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

They were united in marriage May 6, 1967, at the former St. Therese Catholic Church in Windsor Heights, with the Rev. John Allison officiating.

Linda Turkaly is the daughter of the late Leonard and Geraldine Stolirchick. She is a 1966 graduate of Wellsburg High School.

Michael Turkaly is the son of the late Mike and Mary Turkaly. He is a 1963 graduate of Wellsburg High School, served in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam veteran. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Mingo Junction plant, in 2003.

They are the parents of two children, Beth (John) Jeffries of St. Clairsville and David of Wheeling. Five grandchildren complete the family.

They will celebrate with a renewal of their wedding vows at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wellsburg and a dinner at Belmont Hills Country Club in St. Clairsville with family and friends. A family trip to Myrtle Beach in June also will mark the occasion.
