Crupes Celebrate Golden
Gerald (Jerry) and Patricia (Patty) Crupe celebrated their 50th anniversary this past Saturday. They were united in marriage on Aug. 21, 1971, at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Church in Triadelphia, W.Va., with Father John Mercer officiating the ceremony.
Jerry is the son of the late James and Thelma (Vanaman) Crupe of Valley Grove. He has one sibling, Virginia Duvall.
Patty is the daughter of the late John and Mary (Vesilica) Miller of Valley Grove.
She has five brothers and sisters: Ronald (Jody) Miller, Ruth Miller, Dave (Jeannie) Miller, Rich Miller and Barb (Mark) McLaughlin. They have several nieces and nephews.
Jerry is a graduate of McKinley Vocational School. He is a U.S. Army veteran and is retired from Liberty Distributors.
Patty is a graduate of Triadelphia High School. She is retired from WesBanco Bank in Wheeling. Patty has been active in 4-H and West Virginia All Stars for over 50 years.
They have two children. Christina (Daniel) Robinson of Wheeling and Michael (Jody) Crupe of Milltown, N.J. They have five grandchildren: Caitlyn, Ryan and Megan Robinson, all of Wheeling, and Tyler and Madison Crupe, of Milltown, N.J.
A celebration was held in their honor on Aug. 21 at their home.
