Jack and Rosemarie Zearott of Benwood celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 19.

They were united in marriage Feb. 19, 1972, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Benwood, with The Rev. Michael O’Reilly officiating.

Rosemarie is the daughter of the late Mary and Matthew Polus of Benwood. She retired from Gompers and Associates in Wheeling.

Jack is the son of the late Gwen Freeland of Wheeling and the late Jack L. Zearott of Benwood.

He retired from the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Wheeling.

They are the parents of three children. The family includes Amy Hicks and her husband, Michael; Angela Markovich and her husband, Michael; and Mallory Oser and her husband, Fritz. They have five grandchildren: Aaron, Elyse, Baily, Jack and Mason.

Their family surprised them with a weekend trip to Amish country.
