Brian and Debbie Brookes of Wheeling are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on March 11. They were united in marriage March 11, 1972, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling.

Debbie is the daughter of Blanche Grundy and the late Robert Grundy of Wheeling. She is retired from Dr. Peter Schuetz General Dentistry.

Brian is the son of the late Harry and Marjorie Brookes of Wheeling. He retired from UPS after 31 years of service.

They are the parents of four children. The family includes the late Erin Brookes; Heather Lewis and her husband, Kent; Eric and his wife, Ivy; Brady Medovic and her husband, Ty. They have six grandchildren: Landon and Kendyl Lewis; Emery and Anderson Brookes; and Peyton and Maxton Medovic.

Their children and grandchildren are holding an anniversary celebration in their honor.
