Paul and Debbie Curnes will celebrate their 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary on Friday, April 1, 2022.

The couple was united in marriage on Saturday, April 1, 1972, at the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry by the late Rev. Richard H. DeMott officiating.

Paul is the son of the late Ray and Goldie Curnes and is a pump operator for the city of Martins Ferry Water Department.

Debbie, is the daughter of the late Albert and Hazel Wilson and is retired from The Times Leader in MartinsFerry.

They are the parents of four children: Paul D. Curnes Jr. (Melissa) of Wheeling; Christy (Mike) Richards, also of Wheeling; Tiffany Krone of Martins Ferry; and Douglas (Katie) Curnes of Troy, Ohio. They have nine beautiful grandchildren: Katlyn, Austin, Gavin, Dylan, Brittany, Victoria (Tori), Trenton, Brady and Bowen.

A surprise getaway is being planned by their children.
