Jack and Dee Dematte of Wheeling recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

They were united in marriage on July 28, 1962, at St. Joseph’s Cathedral by the Rev. Bernard Schmitt. Dee is the daughter of Stella Ruggaber Johnson and Charles J. Ruggaber. She is a 1959 graduate of Saint Joseph’s Academy and retired from State Farm Insurance.

Jack is the son of Selma and Louis Dematte. He is a 1956 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and a 1960 graduate of Wheeling College. He retired from Charles M. Sledd Company.

They have three children: Buddy Dematte of Nashville, Tenn.; Darlene Dematte Reiter of Nashville, Tenn.; and CeCe Dematte Brehl of Carmel, Ind. They have six grandchildren.
