Olivers Celebrate 70th Anniversary

Katy and Curt Oliver of Wheeling are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple met during high school, were married Dec. 19, 1953 in Wheeling, and lived in north Wheeling before settling in Mozart to raise their family. They are members of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Mozart. Katy stayed home to care for their three sons and one daughter. Whites Celebrate Golden

Charles E. (Chip) White Jr. and Martha Blizzard White of Wheeling celebrated their 50th anniversary on November 23. The couple’s wedding took place in 1973 at Saint Michael’s Church, officiated by Father Mario Claro and Reverend Robert Coupe. They have four daughters, four sons-in-law and nine grandchildren. Martha is a retired midwife. Chip is a retired business systems analyst.

Deans Celebrate Golden

Gary and Cindy Dean celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 10, 2023. The couple currently reside in Washington, Pa., but lived in Wheeling their entire lives. They were married at Corpus Christi Parish, on Nov. 10, 1973. Gary is the son of the late Ivan and Eleanor Dean of Sherrard. He retired after 38 years from AEP and continued another 10 years working for MPW. Cindy is the daughter of William and Clara Schuetz of Warwood. Paul is the son of the late Wiley and Naomi Garey, and he is a retired electrician from Garey & Wellman, Inc. Gumps Celebrate 60 Years

Duane and Daunel Gump celebrated 60 years of marriage on Oct. 24. He is the son of the late Donald and Mary Gump. She is the daughter of the late Rex and Sylvia Conner. Duane is retired from Consol. Daunel is retired from BB&T. They have two children – Scott Gump of Moundsville and Tracey Mason of Wheeling. They are blessed with four grandchildren: Chris Ross of Bethlehem, Jeffrey Gump and Jonathan Logan of Illinois, and Maddie Thomas of Moundsville. A party was held by family and friends.
