Performers to Entertain Thursday Music Club
BETHLEHEM — Millard Neal and 19 other performers will present “Bach Chaos” as the entertainment this week for the Thursday Music Club.
The club will meet at The Gathering Place at Woodview Apartments, 1055 E. Bethlehem Blvd., at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Attendees are asked to form a carpool if possible and park in the lower parking lot at Woodview. Martha Winn and Anita Chops are the sponsors for this month’s entertainment.
Former students and associates of Neal will join him to perform the Bach /Vivaldi 4 Piano Concerto with strings and harpsichord.
The program will begin with a Podolski family trio — Deborah Podoski-Breiding, Teresa Podolski-Cybulski and Ben Podolski — playing “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” followed by a piano duet between Neal and Linda West- Benyo of “Sheep May Safely Graze.”
Club member Judi Porterfield will cater the luncheon after the meeting and entertainment. Reservations are required for the luncheon and there is a fee. To make a reservation, call Emily Mayer, 304-232-1714, by Monday.
Members Betty Lane and Susan Herrick will greet members and guests at the door. Members Sue Cain, Arlene Lawson, and Suzie McCormick will be in charge of table decorations. President Geri Sloane will conduct a short business meeting.
The club’s study group will meet at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1409 Chapline St., Wheeling, at 1 p.m. Oct. 14. Chairman Lynn Welsh will conduct the meeting. Kathryn Wallington will be the presenter. Carol Millard will be the hostess.
