Collegiate is an independent group of women whose goal is to encourage and assist young women to attend college in West Virginia.

In 1908, a few college women realized they could help young women attend college by granting loans. That process has evolved into providing financial scholarships to women attending West Liberty University and West Virginia Northern Community College.

Any contributions in addition to the annual dues are applied to scholarship funding.

The association does not conduct fundraising. Anyone who has a two-year or four-year degree from an institution of higher education may attend the meetings and support this organization.
