Show Band to Entertain Woman’s Club of Wheeling

WHEELING — The Woman’s Club of Wheeling will meet Friday at Monument Place, 91 Kruger St., with a program presented by Rick K and the All-Nighters.

The executive board will meet at 10:45 a.m. and the general meeting will begin at 1 p.m. President Patty Travis will preside at both meetings.

Rick K and the All-Nighters is a show band that performs music from the 1950s through the 1990s.

The club’s international outreach community service program will hold a “white elephant” sale, beginning at 11 a.m., with proceeds go to Operation Smile.

The arts community service project will collect art supplies, new or used books and craft items for young people to donate to Laughlin Memorial Center.

The home life community service project is collecting items for the Family Violence Prevention Program of the YWCA Wheeling. Items needed are cosmetics, toiletries, children’s books and crafts.

The fundraising committee will sell tickets for a fall style show and luncheon, which will be held at noon Nov. 22 at Generations, 336 National Road. Fashions will be furnished by Christopher and Banks.
