Mt. Olivet Lions’ to Honor Veterans on Sunday

Photo Provided Mount Olivet Lions Club will host a ceremony to honor veterans at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Community Park where they club has erected 80 American flags.

MOUNT OLIVET — The Mount Olivet Lions Club completed a project entitled “Flags for Heroes.” They will be displaying 80 United States flags at the Mt. Olivet Community Park honoring and remembering those who have faithfully served family, community and country.

Flags will be on display at the Mount Olivet Community Park today through Nov. 16 of Veterans Day.

The Lions Club has scheduled a special ceremony for Veterans Day, honoring and recognizing all military who have served in the Armed Forces.

The ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mount Olivet Community Park. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be moved to the Mount Olivet Methodist Church, across from the park.

The Mount Olivet Lions is honored to provide this ceremony showing tribute to all military individuals.

Veterans Day is an opportunity to honor our military heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and defending the country they deeply loved.

It is also an appropriate time to show appreciation to all who have served in the Armed Forces.
