Retired Teachers

The Belmont County Retired Teachers Association will hold a luncheon and meeting at Belmont Hills Country Club, St. Clairsville, at noon Thursday. Reservations should be made by Monday by calling Donna Kennedy, 740-635-1264. We Three will present a program of musical selections. Items will be collected for veterans. Retired School

Employees

The Brooke County Association of Retired School Employees will meet Nov. 12 at Follansbee Presbyterian Church. Lunch will be served at noon. Reservations can be made by calling Ruth Lewis, 304-737-2314, before Tuesday. Cindy Dobbs will present a program, “Good Health Rocks, So Rock Your Body.”

Film Showing

The Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library, 700 Fifth St., will present a “Think Outside the Book” film, “The Remains of the Day,” rated PG, at 6 p.m. Monday. The film showing is free and open to the public. Attendees may bring snacks and seat cushions.

Lunch With Books

Erin Rothenbuehler and Dale Rothert will present a Wheeling 250 program, “Aviation,” for Lunch With Books at the Ohio County Public Library, 52 16th St., Wheeling, at noon Tuesday. The program is free and open to the public.

Moundsville Class of ’58

Moundsville High School Class of 1958 is having a luncheon at the Guest House in Moundsville at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Moundsville Woman’s Club

The Moundsville Woman’s Club will meet at Glen Dale United Methodist Church at noon Friday. Chris McDonald will conduct a business meeting. Cindy Prettyman is the chair for a silent auction.

Darlene Meeker and Sonnie Groft are hostess co-chairs. Hostesses are Carol Wade, Bridget Rine, Polly DeNoon and Perky Blake.

Spaghetti Dinner

A free spaghetti dnner will be held at Beech Bottom Community Christian Church, Third and High streets, from 5-7 p.m. Thursday. Take-out meals will be available. Monetary donations will be accepted.

Collegiate Alumnae

Collegiate Alumnae of Wheeling will meet at Christ United Methodist Church’s fellowship hall, 1232 National Road, Wheeling, at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Betsy and Dave Phillips will present a program, “The Witness Tree of Monument Place.” A brief business meeting and lunch will precede the program. Holiday Tea Luncheon

Lunch & Learn

“Ask the Doctor,” an informal conversation with Dr. Dan Jones, will be presented at the free Lunch & Learn workshop in the Harrison Community Hospital cafeteria, Cadiz, at noon Thursday. Attendees may bring a lunch or can purchase one in the cafeteria. A snack and beverages will be provided. Reservations are not needed.

Retreat

Program

A program, “Dreams: Speech of the Soul,” will be presented at St. Joseph Retreat Center, 137 Mount St. Joseph Road, Wheeling, from 7-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Murder Mystery

The Performing Arts Boosters will present a murder mystery party, “Totally Rad 80s Prom Gone Bad,” at Wheeling Central Catholic High School at 7 p.m. Saturday. Doors will be opened at 6:15 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the main office, 304-233-1660, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Style Show

The Weirton Woman’s Club will hold a style show, featuring fashions by T. J. Maxx of Steubenville, at Undo’s in the Weirton Holiday Inn at 2:30 p.m. next Sunday. Doors will be opened at 12:30 p.m. Luncheon will be served at 1:30 p.m. A chance auction, 50/50 raffle and many door prizes will be offered. Dungeons & Dragons

The Brooke County Public Library, 945 Main St., Wellsburg, will hold Dungeons & Dragons classes from 6-9 p.m. every Tuesday for middle and high school students. Registration is not required.

Family Movie Night

Screenings

Free blood pressure screenings, provided by Wheeling Hospital, will be offered from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Monday and Nov. 11, Nov. 18 and Nov. 25 at the Howard Long Wellness Center. For more information, call 304-242-9355.

Breastfeeding Class

A breastfeeding class for expectant parents will be held at Wheeling Hospital’s conference room D at 6 p.m. Monday. There is a cost for the class. For more information, call 304-243-7101.

Support Group

A Parkinson’s disease support group will meet at Wheeling Hospital’s conference rooms C and D at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Each attendee may bring a support person. Seating is limited. To make a reservation, call 304-243-3307.
