‘Project Hail Mary’ Showing at Moundsville Library

MOUNDSVILLE – There will be a free film showing on Monday, Aug. 31, at the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library. The start time will be 5:30 p.m., in the downstairs meeting room. The feature is “Project Hail Mary, a sci-fi adventure/dark comedy based on the novel by Andy Weir. It is being hailed as a modern cinematic masterpiece, starring Ryan Gosling. MOUNDSVILLE – The Strand Theatre announced auditions for “Love, Loss and What I Wore.” This evocative and moving play features monologues and ensemble pieces about women, clothes and memory. HANNIBAL – Ormet Retirees Club Local 5724 will have their monthly meeting at 1 p.m. on Sept. 8. It will be held in Hannibal at the old grade school on Ohio State Route 536. It will be the group's fall picnic. Those with l names ending in A-H are asked to bring a dessert, and those with last names ending in I-Z are asked to bring a covered dish.
