St. Matthew's Church Hosts July 4 Concert

WHEELING – An Independence Day Commemorative Concert will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 4, at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 1410 Chapline St., Wheeling. The program will include patriotic hymns for congregational singing, festive brass music, organ music based on three patriotic hymns — including Charles Ives’s “Variations on ‘America’” — and fitting, uplifting readings. The concert is open to the community. Freewill offerings will be accepted.
