Triadelphia Man Facing Misdemeanor Charges
A Triadelphia man is facing misdemeanor battery and felony entering without breaking charges after a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend.
Ohio County deputies arrested Daniel Keith Howard, 55, of 2150 Point Run Road Sunday for his alleged part in a fight at the 170 Clinton Drive home of his former girlfriend.
According to a criminal complaint, Howard entered the woman’s home uninvited and encountered another man sitting at the kitchen table. Witnesses said Howard grabbed the man around the neck as they both fell to the floor. A juvenile family member reportedly stepped in and struck Howard in the face, allowing the other man to get to his feet.
The man and the youth then reportedly removed Howard from the house. Police arrived shortly after and found Howard in his vehicle and his ex-girlfriend standing outside a short distance away.
Deputies transported Howard to the Northern Regional Jail at Moundsville pending an arraignment before Ohio County Magistrate Charlie Murphy, who set bond at $3,000.
In an unrelated incident, Ricky Joe Cain, 48, of 318 Leopold Lane, Apt. C, is facing a third-offense domestic battery charge for allegedly attacking his roommate with a stun gun. A criminal complaint states Deputy Andrew Covington went to the home at 5:13 p.m. Thursday regarding a disorderly person.
Upon arrival, Raymond Gatto said he and Cain began arguing and Cain attempted to shock him in the groin area with the stun gun. Cain has a prior domestic battery conviction in Ohio County and a similar conviction in Moundsville.
