Sex Crimes, Burglaries Among Indictments by Marshall County Grand Jury

Thursday, the Marshall County Grand Jury returned 22 indictments against those suspected of a variety of crimes, including charges against a 52-year-old man for allegedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl.

Roy Conner, 52, of Moundsville, was arrested in January on charges of allegedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old child who lived with his then-girlfriend. During conversations with police, Conner allegedly told police that he purposefully slept facing away from the child, before eventually admitting he had touched her intentionally.

Conner was indicted on a charge of first degree sexual abuse and an additional charge of sexual abuse by a guardian.

Also indicted Thursday morning were Robyn Cox and Timothy “TJ” Hooker, each charged with five counts of burglary, one count of conspiracy to commit burglary, two counts of grand larceny, and three counts of petit larceny. The two were arrested in late May after several campers along Fish Creek reported a number of break-ins.

The items reported stolen include an all-terrain vehicle, numerous tools and appliances, and other such things. Hooker was arrested when he was allegedly seen walking out of a nearby garage containing the vehicle in question, with Cox having been found hiding inside a nearby house. Police were alerted to the location of the items after Cox was allegedly seen on social media trying to sell the vehicle.
