Motorists traveling on Interstate 70 between the Wheeling Tunnel and the Bridgeport exit can continue to expect delays as Swank Construction continues to perform crossover construction and shoulder reconstruction work in that area.

This work is in preparation for the anticipated traffic pattern change along that stretch of highway as part of the I-70 Bridges Project.

According to the West Virginia Division of Highways District Six officials, the crossover of I-70 westbound onto I-70 eastbound between the Wheeling Tunnel and Bridgeport is now expected to be completed by Nov. 11.
