Jeffrey J. Woda Joins Main Street Bank Board

WHEELING – Jeffrey J. Woda has joined the board of directors of both Main Street Bank Corp. and its holding company, Main Street Financial Services Corp., the bank announced this week.

“We are very fortunate to have a gentleman of Jeff Woda’s stature join our board,” said Rich Lucas, president and CEO of Wheeling-based Main Street Bank. “Jeff is a recognized national leader in the affordable housing industry and his firm has brought to life several housing communities in the local area.”

Woda is the managing director and president of Woda Cooper Companies Inc. He is actively involved in all aspects of development, construction, and property management. The firm’s portfolio includes more than 350 properties in 15 states.

“I look forward to serving on the board of Main Street Bank,” Woda said. “The banking industry takes me back to my roots when I was a CPA working with financial institutions and construction companies.”

Woda Cooper Companies has developed several large projects in Wheeling over the past decade including the Boury Lofts and Stone Center Lofts downtown; LaBelle Greene in South Wheeling; and Capital Greene in Elm Grove.

Woda is a graduate of Bethany College with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and served as a certified public accountant at Ernst and Young accounting firm before starting his company. He currently serves as a board member of the National Housing and Rehabilitation Association and also Bethany College, and previously served on the boards of the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition and Benchmark Bancorp.

In addition to its Columbus, Ohio headquarters, Woda Cooper has offices in Savannah, Georgia; Indianapolis; Shelbyville, Kentucky; Annapolis, Maryland; Mackinaw City, Michigan; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Norfolk, Virginia. The company marked 30 years in business in May, with operations in 15 states and a portfolio of approximately 350 communities and more than 14,000 units.
