Bell To Replace Kelly In West Virginia House Of Delegates

Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced Monday that William “Bill” Bell has been appointed to fill the vacancy left by David Kelly in the 8th District of the West Virginia House of Delegates.
Kelly was appointed to become Commissioner of the Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation last month.
“Bill Bell has shown himself to be a leader in his community, serving on the Paden City Common Council,” said Morrisey. “I am confident he will be a dedicated public servant and a conservative fighter for the people of Doddridge, Tyler, and Wetzel counties.”
Bell is currently a social studies teacher at Wetzel County Schools and adjunct faculty at West Virginia University at Parkersburg, educating a wide range of students from sixth grade through college. He serves on the Paden City Common Council and is the council representative to the Paden City Development Authority.
Bell has a bachelor’s Degree in elementary education from West Virginia University at Parkersburg and master’s degrees from both Western Governors University and Ashland University.
