Block party to kick off July 4 festivities in Wellsburg

WELLSBURG – A week of festivities in honor of Independence Day will kick off Friday night, with a block party organized by the Wellsburg Urban Renewal Authority. City Seeks Help From Residents on Storm Drainage Problems

WHEELING — The city of Wheeling's Stormwater Department needs residents’ help identifying potential drainage issues before heavy rain arrives. Superintendent Mike Chiazza explained that with more than 3,000 catch basins and hundreds of miles of storm sewer infrastructure throughout the city, crews rely on residents to help identify problems that may not be visible during routine inspections.
