FLOYD JOHNSON

Floyd was born October 12, 1933, in Silver Hill, WV son of the late Morton B. and Mabel A. (Dodd) Johnson.

He was a retired potman from the former Ormet Corp., raising and working Draft horses, going coon hunting and Floyd never saw a stranger and enjoyed visiting with everyone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Harriett L. Johnson; daughter, Caron Johnson; two sisters, Ila Clark and Ruth Taylor and two brothers, Henry Johnson and Joseph Johnson.

Surviving are his son, William (Patricia) Johnson of New Martinsville, WV; two daughters, Nancy (Jerry) Moore of Sistersville, WV and Sandra E. Buegel of New Matamoras, OH; brother, Howard (Brenda) Johnson of Canton, OH; sister, Lucille (Leroy) Cecil of New Martinsville, WV; five grandchildren, Brian (Emily) Johnson and their children Brooke and Audrey of Suwanee, GA, Clifford (Alberta) Johnson and their children, Traikon, Maryeli and Elsie Mae of Aiken, SC, Tiffany (Chris) Thrasher and their child, Mackenzie of Dallis, GA, Dennis (Madonna) Buegel and their children, Ryatt and Bo of New Matamoras, OH and Denise Martin and her children, Riley and Rhett of Newport, OH; Jodi (Chris) Thompson and their children, Jack and Lana of Morgantown, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins and special friends, Robert and Heather Tedrow and their sons, Curtis and Gavyn.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the Jarvis Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, August 31, 2025 with Dwight Williams officiating. Burial to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City.
