Check Website, Voters in W.Va.
No one knows with certainty whether the primary election scheduled for May 12 in West Virginia will go forward in normal fashion. If the COVID-19 outbreak persists, it is possible that in-person voting will not occur. Even the usual “early voting” process may have to be altered.
If you are a registered voter in West Virginia, we urge you to be prepared. Secretary of State Mac Warner and his staff are making that easy. A special website full of information, including some on absentee balloting, is available at govotewv.com.
Let us hope the coronavirus is no more than a bad memory by May 12. But we in the Mountain State are accustomed to hoping for the best, while preparing for the worst.
In terms of ensuring your vote is case in the primary, Warner’s website is a great place to start.
