A professional employee within the Wetzel County school system has resigne after being confronted with various allegations of inappropriate conduct.
A statement put out on Monday by Wetzel County Schools Superintendent Tammy Wells says that appropriate authorities, including those in law enforcement, have been notified of the matter.
Because this is a personnel matter, the administration cannot share further details at this time. When official action is taken by the board, it will be a matter of public record.
The Board of Education is scheduled to meet in special session at the board office on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.
