Storyteller Lepp Appearing at Moundsville Library

MOUNDSVILLE – The great Bil Lepp is returning to Marshall County for a free and funny storytelling performance at noon on Thursday, July 2, at the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library.

The author, recording artist and five-time winner of the West Virginia Liars’ Contest is a nationally renowned and award-winning storyteller, entertaining audiences of all ages and all walks of life. His original tales are clever, hilarious and full of down-home charm.

Bil Lepp is the host of the History Channel’s “Man Vs History” series, the occasional host of NPR’s internationally syndicated Mountain Stage, and a contributing columnist to the West Virginia Gazette-Mail. Audiences all across the country, from grade schools to corporate executives, from storytelling festivals to the Comedy Central’s Hudson stage, have been delighted by Lepp’s mirthful tales and delightful insights into everyday life. His books and audio collections have won awards including the PEN Steven Kroll Award for Children’s Book Writing, Parents’ Choice Gold awards and awards from the National Parenting Publications Association, and the Public Library Association. He is also the recipient of the Vandalia Award, West Virginia’s highest folk honor.

Anyone who has caught a live performance by Lepp before knows this is a chance to enjoy some of the finest and funniest storytelling around. And those who haven’t had the treat yet should regard this as a must-see event.
