Joseph Lee Williamson, 82, of Proctor, died Friday, March 3, 2023, in Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 12, 1940, in Moundsville, the son of the late Arthur and Sophie Wnek Hill. He was a retired coal miner from the McElroy Mine; a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and UMWA; loved to hunt and fish. She was born January 26, 1925, in Lodi, OH, a daughter of the late Charles Wade and Mary Belle Kemery Mikesell. She graduated in 1942, from Westfield High School in LeRoy, OH. She went to Berea, OH to work and attend Baldwin Wallace College. During WWII, she married Forrest Homer Schar. Dolores Ritchie Schlag, 91, of Wheeling, WV, went to her little spot in Heaven March 4, 2023. She was born March 27, 1931, in Wheeling, WV, Daughter of the late Michael J. Ritchie and Helen E. Timberlake, Ritchie, Wardle. Dolores was a 1949 graduate from Mount de Chantal Academy and a former member of Edgwood Lutheran Church. Delores worked several years for the McLure Hotel and retired from Security National Bank in September 1991 after 32 years of service. Mercia “Mercy” Lynn Earnest, 55, of Wellsburg, WV, died peacefully on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Valley Hospice North in Steubenville, OH after a fierce battle with cancer with her family by her side. Born on July 26, 1967, in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Earnest Wheeler and Vivian (Eppinger) Wheeler of Wellsburg, WV. Mercy graduated from Brooke High School in 1984, then went on to Cosmetology School, and then received her RN from the Trinity School of Nursing.
