Editor, News-Register: On Thursday, the 27th of May, I attended the West Virginia Black Bears baseball game against the Frederick (Md.) Keys. Helping in Fight Against Cancer

Editor, News-Register: Cancer doesn’t stop for a pandemic. Every day, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network continues its lifesaving work to fight cancer through public policy. My cousin is a three-time breast cancer survivor. This experience compelled me to become part of the ACS CAN team, and further their lifesaving mission. Editor, News-Register: Kudos to Councilman (Dave) Palmer for the (now passed) firework restrictions. Perhaps those opposed need to have visiting drunken revelers such as I had last July 4. Spreading the Love Every Day

Editor, News-Register: June, the month of weddings, is here already but we certainly don’t need a Hallmark moment to spread the love. The idea of true love is not proven by flowers, fancy dinners, or other material thoughts. Love is truly not a box of chocolates and is best defined by a series of selfless acts. My comments should not be viewed as a diatribe on romantic love. Books, songs, poems and movies do that job rather profusely.
