Harold Joseph McCain, 89, of New Martinsville, WV passed away Friday, November 17, 2023, at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV with family by his side. He was born to Fred and Marie (Hurla) McClain on April 13, 1934, in Kansas City, Kansas. In 1952, he graduated from Bishop Ward High School, Kansas City, Kansas. Harold enlisted in the Unites States Coast Guard and served during the Korean conflict. He was a 1961 graduate of the University of Detroit with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
