Editor, News-Register: I must admit that I, as are a great many, am extremely incredulous as to how any reasonable and rational thinking individual would continue to lavish himself with praise and self-adoration as does President Donald J. Trump, as a result of his questionable efforts to combat the current horrific pandemic crisis. Those in attendance at the dedication of the Marshall County Gold Star Families Memorial Monument this past Wednesday evening had the opportunity to listen to featured speaker Hershel “Woody” Williams explain about the start-up of this effort 10 years ago, what the foundation means, along with the mission the four goals of the project. Editor, News-Register: Is professor Charles Rogerson using state paid for English instruction to indoctrinate impressionable students with his radical political persuasions? In public, he exceeds the president in lack of intellectual discourse. He drags preconceived racism into a political contest that should be debated on opponents’ achievements and intentions. Editor, News-Register: Isn’t it truly amazing the tear down and reconstruction of our I70 bridge system in West Virginia? I have watched in speechless awe as the team of Swank workers have removed the old system and built up the new. The Fulton area was the most interesting (OK, maybe I am a bit too bored, thanks to the coronavirus.) The support beams were removed, along with the old bridge — steel beams and all. Learning About Some of the Victims of 9/11

This month we took time to remember the 19th anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001. I wrote about these individuals 19 years ago and I would like to re-introduce some of the people of September 11th. Our prayers go out to these families who lost someone then or through the war on terror later. My first wife and I were in New York, New York on the one-month anniversary of the September 11th tragedy, to do what little we could to comfort. This is my opportunity to vent.
