Learning About Some of the Victims of 9/11

This month we took time to remember the 19th anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001. I wrote about these individuals 19 years ago and I would like to re-introduce some of the people of September 11th. Our prayers go out to these families who lost someone then or through the war on terror later. My first wife and I were in New York, New York on the one-month anniversary of the September 11th tragedy, to do what little we could to comfort. This is my opportunity to vent. Editor, News-Register: According to a news article I read several months ago in the local newspaper, President Trump dismantled the National Security Council office of Global Health Security and Bio-Defense, an office initiated by former President George W. Bush, expanded under former President Barack Obama, but dissolved under President Trump in 2018. Editor, News-Register: Donald Trump’s latest threat to America’s freedom of the press hits our troops overseas. The Trump administration wants to block publication and end funding for the military newspaper, Star and Stripes. This comes as the latest news swept our nation overnight that our commander-in-chief considers fallen war heroes nothing but “losers,” according to an article published in The Atlantic by Jeffrey Goldberg.
