Editor, News-Register: The policies and procedures of the entire election process need to be standardized and accompanying change accomplished in all states, even if it requires a constitutional amendment. Politicians, political parties and individual states, collectively, obviously cannot be trusted with the honest conduct of election affairs. Honesty and transparency must be given a top priority, and fraud and deceit in the election process must become a federal offense in all states. This election has been sickening.
